Easy Way to Use the Stockinette Stitch

A very sleek and drapey stitch.  The most common stitch used in knitting. You can find it in almost all knitting patterns.

Its most commonly written as "st st".  Because of how drapey this stitch is, the fabric tends to curl very easily.  The best way to counter this is to add a border of garter stitch to your work.

I had fun with this stitch too.  I love the way it turned out, even though it is only a small swatch.  I knit this on Casscade 220 Superwash, using a US size 8 needle.  It turned out soft and makes a perfect addition to my ever growing swatch library.

As always, Happy crafting my Copious Critters!
