DIY - You Rule Valentine

  Found this awesome Valentine idea on relocated living! If you are anything like me, you are always looking for the next nifty and interesting way to craft and celebrate with your kids. Or maybe just on your own!  I think this is a lovely alternative to the sweets that one always gets from school.   Materials needed: Rulers - get as many as you need. Needle Felting Tutorial - Basics

Found this on Needlework tips and techniques."With needle felting we cause the friction by stabbing the wool with a notched needle. This tangles the fibers together with no need for moisture. The photograph displays a ball, egg, and cylinder, which comprise the primary forms for 3D needle felting. I will walk you through creating a ball, below. Note that the cylinder on the right, has a "fuzzy" section at the top. This helps to secure it to another shape to build up the structure of a model. Valentine Chocolate Heart Magnets!

Found this fun Tutorial on Little White Whale. What you’ll need: Oven-bake polymer clay in brown, white, and pink a heart shaped candy mold X-Acto knife plastic straw small round magnets hot glue gun   Knead a small chunk of brown clay until it softens, and press it into the heart shaped candy mold, making sure to fill all the nooks and crannies completely Carefully peel your heart out of the mold, and trim the excess clay with an X-Acto knife Bake the clay hearts according to the directions on the package........
