I actually made my Coin Bags out of Drop Cloths. Drop cloth is another one of my favorites too. It’s just a big sheet of canvas but you can get a pack of drop cloths at the hardware store for less then $10.
I’m by no means a professional sewer. By no means. When I thought of making these bags, I was like, how am I going to add a drawstring and how will I keep the ends from fraying? When I opened up the package, I noticed the edge of the drop cloths already have a nice sewn edge so I was like heck, I’m gonna use that seam and that’s exactly what I did.
I cut the drop cloths at 8 x 6 inches, then folded them in half to sew the openings together.
