The First Week Completed - Day 7/100

I like most others almost came up short on the last day of the week. I think I was probably trying too hard to make a design or create something new. I had to go for a walk and clear my head - that often works for me. The walk took me through blooming daffs and cherry trees (yes, it is winter in Vancouver but the temperatures here have been exceptional mild - no freezing cold). The flowers and nature always inspire me to create or at least give me good ideas.

When I got home, I knew exactly what I wanted to make.

Today, I made a Valentine's Day pattern that I will be printing on cloth. This pattern has inspired me to come up with more hand-drawn patterns I can use in the future. Here is what I produced:

Pattern making seemed so simple when I started. I soon found out that there are many aspects to a pattern, including making sure that it wraps around perfectly when duplicating the image plus graphic size really matters when it comes to visual appeal. This started as a one hour project and turned into 3 hours of wonderful crafting time!

What do you do when you get stuck?
