Found this incredibly fun craft on Consumer Crafts Blog.
Materials Needed:
- Yarn (I used Caron in Watermelon Pink and Soft Pink)
- Pom Pom Maker
- Scissors
- Googly Eyes
- Foam Heart Stickers or Foam Sheets
- Chenille Stems
- Tacky Glue
Directions:
For this project, I used the large pom pom maker in the pack of three. This little tool comes in handy and the pack has a small, medium, and large pom pom maker. Now that I think of it, a “family” of monsters in varying sizes would also be fun for the kids to play with. Another fun project with yarn pom poms is to string them with baker’s twine to create a festive garland for the mantel.
Using the pom pom maker, I wrapped the yarn around several times to make a thick pom pom. The more yarn you use the easier it is for the “monster” to stand.
