Willoughby Cowl

This cowl was made for my youngest child. The pattern stitched used reminded me of how intricate she is when she’s making up her own imaginary stories in her room. I wanted it to reflect the interconnected lines of her imagination.
Difficulty Level:
Beginner
Techniques Used:
Knit & purl, cast-on, bind off.
Materials:
- 1 skein worsted weight homespun. (example knit in a skein that I spun myself. Merino and Tussah Silk blend so there are bits that are thicker than others.)
- US #11 (8.0mm) straight needle or size needed for comfort. (I knit with my circular needles while constructing this pattern)
- Tapestry needle.
Gauge:
12.5 stitches and 24 rows = 4” (10 cm) square in stockinette stitch using US #11 (8.0 mm) needles.
Finished Measurements:
26” / 66cm, slightly stretched
